My freedom to speak and to write comes not from any human institution, but from God Himself. I am free to proclaim what He directs me to proclaim. Naturally, this sort of freedom comes with limits, in that He is not going to direct me to give false testimony or engage in wantonly destructive speech, for example. Those limits are not a problem at all! The freedom, however, is amazing. I am free to preach and publish whatever my Heavenly Father directs, any place He directs me to do it. This freedom is much more powerful than the U. S. Constitution's bill of rights, which is pretty much useless outside of the United States of America, and which is subject to interpretation and limitation within the USA. The message is more powerful, too, than any random thing that I might come up with on my own. We are talking about inspired words from the Creator who made the Universe by speaking it into existence!

 

I am free to write a message of love from the God whose very nature is love. I am at liberty to tell you about the great news of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. I am free to tell the truth, even when not everyone likes the truth, provided that I do so in love. I am free to not have to please everyone. If I just please the Lord of Lords, that is good enough.
